Duchy of Landon
The Duchy of Landon is one of the three duchies that comprised the Kingdom of Westernesse. It is bordered on the east by Lyon's Bay and the Serpent River, to the north by The Great Way and the Rust Hills, and to the west by the Foaming Rill, Turtle Lake and Laughing Lady, and the south by the Sea of Fates. The capitol of the duchy is Hornburg, and the larger cities include Kingsbridge, Oldhaven, and Whitehaven. Major forts include Barknor, Dargoil Hold, Headow Keep, Kent Keep, Overlook Keep, Scatterby Fort and Stowe Castle. Landon was the secondary expansion region after the founding of Lyonesse. Thousands of colonists spread throughout the region between 3179 and 3309, creating the early settlements. Lady Rosamund Wensley was both the first Earl of Hornburg and later the first Duke of Landon, creating the Wensley noble line.
